MESOP DARK FUTURE SOUTH KURDISTAN ? AFTER PUK & KDP MULLAH KREKAR ?

27 Sept 2016 – OSLO,— The political crisis facing Iraq’s Kurdistan Region could be resolved by “excluding” the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) from positions in the government, Kurdish Islamic extremist leader Mullah Krekar said, seeing Islam as a “successor.” Krekar, whose real name is Najmaddin Faraj Ahmed, said the KDP and the PUK “have become ideologically bankrupt,” during an interview with NRT.

Krekar said he does not see the two Kurdish Islamic parties, the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU) and the Kurdistan Islamic Group (KIG) as suitable successors, but instead “Islam of sound mind with arranged methods.”

“I don’t see the Islamic State (IS) as the restoration of the caliphate of early Islam, while I consider it as an Islamic group to which people can pledge allegiance,” Krekar said. www.mesop.de
