MESOP – Center for crises management to be opened in Kurdistan

2015/02/26 – A joint center for the management of crises in Kurdistan Region is going to be institutionalized following a decision signed by President Massoud Brazani.On the request of the minister of Interior Affairs, the Council of Ministers has agreed to open a center for managing a variety of crises in Kurdistan Region. The upcoming Interior Ministry-owned center is going to consist of the ministries of Interior, Planning, Municipality, Health, Finance, and Trade in cooperation with the region’s office for foreign affairs, two governors, and two UN representatives for humanitarian affairs. The center, which will have its office in every province, will focus on finding solutions for short-term and long-term crises and deliver information to government policymakers for quick decisions.
