MESOP ALARM : A COLL TO THE WORLD FACING KOBANE

Lorin Sarkisian / Roni Alasor – Brussels, 18 September 2014 – Middle East Diplomatic (MED)  – The Kurdish leadership in Western Kurdistan (Syria), Salih Gedo, Foreign Minister of the Autonomous Self-Administration of Cizîrê (Jazireh) and Abdulkarim Omar, Speaker of the Autonomous Self-Administration of Cizîrê (Jazireh), made an “Urgent appeal to world” to stop ISIS heavy attacks in Kobane.

Local representatives report that the terrorists are using weapons delivered from Turkey to the Islamic State by train. Terrorists are also using US heavy weapons captured in Mosul in Iraq. There is also an increased presence by the Turkish army on the border with Kobane. Up to the present moment, at least 21 villages had to be evacuated and thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes. If the attacks go on for too long and Kobane falls under the control of isis, thousands of people would be massacred and hundreds of thousands would have to flee their homes, say Kurdish representatives and call for immediate international reaction.
