21-7-2014 – Kurdpress – Turkey Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said he has discussed the future of Kurds in Iraq with Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani, Anadolu News Agency said.
According to Davutoglu Barzani has told him that the Kurdish region will make its future’s plan with Turkey, adding that the Kurdish president has told him that Turkey was the only country that did not read a letter from Mulla Mustafa Barzani, during his Kurdish struggle three decades ago, and send the letter back to him unread. Barzani visited Ankara days ago and met Davutoglu as well as Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President Abdullah Gul. Davutoglu further denied it is Turkey that should be blamed for Kirkuk and Mosul developments and blamed Iraqi leaders for the mayhem in the state and said the leaders are supporting the notion and thinking that did not open Mulla Mustafa Barzani’s letter decades ago.
