Leyla Zana: Middle East fire will burn Kurds

02.08.2014 – BasNews, Turkey – Kurdish politician and Turkish independent MP, Leyla Zana has said that the bloodshed in the Middle East is not part of Islamic culture and that it might affect Kurds as well. Zana was giving a speech during a special ceremony in Diyarbakir in Turkey and said that most of the Middle East has caught fire which might also burn the Kurds. “Anything that happens in this region will automatically affect Kurds as well,” said Zana.

“Fighting and protecting Mosul and Kobane means protecting the Middle East and I hope our nation can bring spring to the entire Middle East region,” added the Kurdish lawmaker. Also she stated that today they see Muslims beheading other Muslims and that beheading is not part of any religion. “Currently you see some brutal things are done in the name of Islam, but they are not Muslim or Christian,” added Zana.
