Kurdish Sites Claim ISIS Takes Over Sireen

ANF – 2.9.2013 – ISIS/Al Qaida takes over the Arab-populated town of Sireen/Sirî (صرين )

35/40km distance from Ayn al-Arab (Kobanî). According to Kurdish news websites several Arab citizens were captured/arrested. ANHA claims at least 80. Earlier before during tensions between Al Qaida and FSA, several FSA groups took refuge in the city of Kobani.

Al-Qaeda affiliated armed gang groups ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and ash-Sham) and al-Nusra Front attacked the Sirin city, located 33 km in the south of Kobanê (Ayn al-Arab), in Aleppo region on August 31, Friday evening. Militants of the jihadist armed groups seized the bakery in the district, because of which local people are said to be facing the risk of hunger now.
