Kurdish leaders to speak in Cape Town

29.8.2012 – MESOP – Three leaders of the Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party in Turkey are in Cape Town this week and will speak at a Symposium organised by the Kurdish Human Rights Action Group. The symposium is titled “The Kurdish Question – Current situation in Turkey”.

The Symposium will take place at the Imam Haron Hall, at Community House, Salt River Road, Salt River, from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, 29 August 2012.

The political representatives will deal with a range of matters relating to the Kurdish question in Turkey and the Middle East. One-on-one interviews can be arranged for the media, if the need arises. The delegation will visit Anglican Archbishop Thabo Magoba at Bishop’s Court on Wednesday morning and there will be opportunities for photos and brief questions when the meeting concludes at 11.30pm.
