Jabhat al-Akrad defeats ISIL in Aleppo / YPG COOPERATES WITH FSA
18-04-2014 – ARA News – Urfa, Turkey− Ahmed Hisso, the spokesman of the rebel group of al-Akrad Front (Jabhat al-Akrad), told ARA News that the Front’s fighters carried out military operations against headquarters of the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) in Jaada village near Qara Qozak in Aleppo province earlier this week.
Hisso said that rebels of al-Akrad (Kurdish) Front launched attacks against ISIL-held areas forcing them to withdraw from their main headquarter in Jaada.”Our forces killed four ISIL fighters and injured dozens others,” Hisso said. “Members of ISIL couldn’t pull the corpses of their comrades.” Meanwhile, the Media Center of the Kurdish forces of Popular Protection Units (YPG) announced on Wednesday that its forces have cooperated with the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in attacks against al-Qaeda splinter group of ISIL in Qara Qozak area. According to the YPG Media Center, 11 ISIL militants were killed during the attacks, while dozens of others were injured. The Media Center didn’t report any losses in the ranks of the YPG.
