Iraqi Kurdistan’s KDP & Gorran / Change deny 3 vice-presidents proposal

February 6, 2014 – shafaaq – SULÊMANÎ, Kurdistan region ‘Iraq’ –  Kurdistan Democratic party (KDP) and Change movement denied on Thursday, what some of the local media in the region mentioned on a proposal put forward by the negotiating team for KDP proposal to appoint three vice-presidents of the next Kurdistan government.

The Wednesday meeting between Kurdistan PM and KDP leader, Nechirvan Barzani, and Change (Gorran) Movement leader Nawshirwan Mustafa failed to reach a concrete accord between the two sides. There was no official statement or press conference at the end of the gathering. A leading member of Change (Gorran), Aram Mohammed said “what media have said on Change rejection on KDP proposals to give president of the regional government three deputies in the composition of the government is just a personal analysis no more. He added that the movement are ongoing in meetings with other parties in order to reach compromise solutions. For his part, the official media of the Democratic Party of Kurdistan in Sulêmanî [Sulaimaniyah], Sheikh Atta denied that “his party’s leaders has instructions not to make any statement about the formation of the government to the media. He added that talks are continuing between the winning parties in the election to reach a common formula is the basis of forming the government.

Some Kurdish media has indicated that the delegation of KDP headed by Nechirvan Barzani visited on Wednesday Change movement in Sulêmanî in which the latter submitted the topic of having three deputieswww.Ekurd.net to the prime minister first from Change, the second deputy of the PUK and the third of KDP, but Change has rejected the proposal as it is not with the compromise policy with the distribution of positions in the government, referring to the demands of the PUK.
