In Open Letter To Islamic State (IS) Leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, Wives Of IS Fighters Demand To Know Whereabouts Of Their Husbands
On August 15, 2014, an open letter was posted on the @oum_ yehya Twitter account, in which a group of women – apparently the devout wives of IS fighters – address IS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, demanding to know what has happened to their husbands. It should be stressed that the authenticity of the letter cannot be verified.
In it, the women state that they and their husbands left their families and came to the jihad front (apparently in Syria), where they pledged allegiance to the IS out of desire to join it and participate in its campaign to instate the shari’a. |
