Erbil / Hewler: Kurdish National Congress organizing committee meets today
ANF – Hewler/Erbil 01.08.2013 -The Organizing committee of the Kurdish National Congress is going to meet today to finalize details of the conference which will take place before the end of August.
Political Kurdish organizations, parties, civil society associations from the four parts of Kurdistan (Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria) are to gather for the congress, as part of the process initiated by Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The conference will open at a delicate time in the process for the building of a just a lasting peace in Turkey, as the Turkish government has so far refused to take any step to show its genuine committment to peace.
