EAST KURDISTAN (IRAN) Iranian army kills Kurdish PJAK rebels in eastern Kurdistan: commander

June 22, 2014 – TEHRAN,— General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan, Iranian Ground Force Commander Brigadier, announced that his forces have killed a number of  to Kurdish PJAK (the Party for Free Life of Kurdistan) group who were trying to sneak into Iranian Kurdistan region (Rojhelat) via the country’s Western borders, Fars news reported.

General Pourdastan did not disclose the exact number of rebels killed in clashes with army on Sunday. General Pourdastan said on Sunday. “A team of the terrorists were trying to cross the borderline into the country on Saturday but failed to do so thanks to the vigilance of the Iranian troops,”He termed the operation as a hard blow to PJAK given the fact that the killed rebels were carrying packs of explosives into the country.
