Bayık: Turkish State Wants War, We Will Defend Ourselves
BIA NEWS – 5.9.2013 – KCK Executive Council Co-Chairperson Cemil Bayık said the Turkish state has yet to take a step forward in the democratic peace process and wanted to make war – a situation that will require them to make self-defense.
KCK Executive Council Co-Chairperson Cemil Bayık said the Turkish state has failed to do its share in the democratic peace process. According to Fırat News Agency (ANF), Bayık claimed that AKP government attempted to deceive people with fake campaigns until the upcoming elections.
“PKK was founded against betrayal and submission. No authority can PKK submit. This is a PKK reality. PKK culture has been founded on this basis.
“We have given the Turkish state a deadline: September 1. However, they didn’t take any step forward. It means this: They don’t want a resolution, they want to crush and they want to make war.
“We will defend ourselves against this. We are stopping our guerrilla. If we see that they are doing a military operation, we will defend ourselves. If they want to increase the tensions in the war, we will send our withdrawn forces back.” (EKN/BM)
