Syrian Regime Delegation Meets with PYD in Rojava / Again collaborating with Assad

Basnews English – 25/03/2017 – 21:16 – ERBIL — A delegation from the Syrian Regime met with the Democratic Union Party (PYD) officials in Rojava to discuss the governance of the Kurdish areas in the north of the country.

A local source, who wished to remain anonymous for security reasons, confirmed to BasNews that the Syrian Regime’s delegation encouraged the PYD policies for preventing political activities of other factions. The meeting was reportedly held in Afrin.

PYD has warned that no political party or armed forces are welcome in western Syria, the source pointed out. The Kurdish party also proposed to fly its official flag over the administration buildings next to the Syrian flag, but the request was immediately rejected by the delegation. www.mesop.de
