Kurdistan Region security delegation visits Iran
A security delegation from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq arrived in Iran to meet officials in Tehran, the capital. The Security Commission Chief of the Kurdish Region’s local parliament, Nazim Kabir Harki, told al-Sumeriya News that Kurdistan Region Interior Minister, Karim Sanjari, heads the delegation that is due to discuss Iran’s shelling the region’s bordering areas.
Harki stated that the bombings have inflicted damages on civilians in the region and reiterated on Iran’s respect to the region’s sovereignty. The chief of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) ties with Iran, Abdullah Akrayee told Rudaw that the bombings would be the main issue that the delegation will discuss with Iranian officials. www.mesop.de
