MESOP NORTH KURDISTAN (TURKEY) We never repent cease fire: Murat Karayilan / Sorxubon Magazine
21.5.2014 – The chief of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) armed forces Murat Karayilan said his party is is happy to have ceased war with Turkey and they will continue their peace negotiations with Ankara.
Writing an article in Sorxubon Magazine, the PKK official added the peace negotiations have brought great achievements to the party and they do not regret that they have launched the talks. He, however, added no one can deny the existence of Kurdish conflict in Turkey and a political solution is needed to be found for the problem.
We respect remarks by our leader Apo (the way PKK members call the party’s jailed leader Abdullah Ocalan) and the horizon he has planned. The world saw the reality one more that we are not war monger and we defend peace and fraternity,” he further said in the article. He ultimately has asked for the release of the PKK leader and other Kurdish prisoners. A member of the Wise Men Turkey government appointed to explain the peace talks for people in Turkey, Jalaladin Can, however, stated days ago that Kurdish peace talks are over but none of the two sides dare to announce it officially.
