MESOP SCANDAL : OBAMA ADMINISTRATION REFUSES ISMAIL BESKICI TO SPEAK IN WASHINGTON

 21-4-2014 – Dear KSN Members (Kurdish Studies Network), I have some bad news for those awaiting sociologist İsmail Beşikci’s arrival to the US this week. As I stated in my last article, which I also shared in this group, Beşikci was expected to give two speeches on the Kurdish Issue in New York and Washington DC. Unfortunately, last night I was informed that both İsmail Beşikçi and the President of the İsmail Beşikci Foundation, İbrahim Gunduz, were not allowed to enter the plane at İstanbul airport as the result of an e-mail sent from US security agencies to the Turkish police.

No reason was provided for this decision. Besikci and Gunduz received their 10 year visas just a week ago. Their lawyers in Ankara and DC are working to obtain more details and reverse the decision. I have attached my article about the decision.
