WE WANT ALLOW ASSAD TO HOLD ELECTIONS IN KURDISH REGIONS (KDPS)
A leading official of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Syria (KDPS) blamed pro-Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) policies in Syria Kurdish regions and said they will not allow the Syria President Bashar al-Assad’s regime to hold presidential elections in the Kurdish region of the country.Bashar Amin who was expelled in his sleep gown from Syria Kurdish regions by the PYD forces days ago, lashed out at the party for following unilateral policies ad attempting to bring the KDPS under its umbrella and make it to support Assad.
“The party is preparing grounds for the presidential elections in Syria Kurdish regions; but we will not allow them and clearly state we will not allow Assad regime to hold elections in Kurdish regions,” he told reporters.
He further added the PYD has expelled five other KDPS officials and has imprisoned 10 leading members, calling the moves attempts to make the KDPS to support and recognize the Kurdish cantons made in the Kurdish regions.
He concluded that the PYD forces did not allow the KDPS Leader Saud Malla to return Syria but “he will go back to Syria and will continue its political activities.”
